Welcome to Relaxed Spider
Here are the details for this mode. Choose one suit, two suits or four suits using the game controls. The objective remains eight complete same-suit King-to-Ace runs. Relaxed Spider on zxhyhb.com permits stock deals while columns are empty. The game still uses 104 cards in ten columns.
Deal into empty columns
An empty column no longer prevents a stock deal in this variant. The relaxed stock rule does not change the rank requirement for ordinary moves. The relaxed stock rule does not allow mixed-suit groups to move together. A stock card dealt to an empty column becomes that column's first face-up card.
Ten columns and a stock
A few details help explain this feature. The first four columns have six cards each and the remaining six have five. Only the bottom card of each opening column is face up. The stock contains fifty cards for five later deals. The opening tableau contains 54 cards.
Move a single card
The following details apply here. A King needs an empty destination because no rank is higher. An exposed card may land on another exposed card exactly one rank higher. An Ace cannot receive a lower-ranked card. The two cards do not need to share a suit for a single-card placement.
Follow one suit
A break in rank prevents the entire selected group from moving together. A descending group moves as a unit only when every selected card shares a suit. Same-suit building can reduce the work needed to separate mixed sequences later. A suit change can leave a smaller movable group at the bottom of a column.
Use empty columns thoughtfully
Any exposed card or legal same-suit group can occupy an empty column. Empty columns remain useful for separating temporary mixed builds. You may preserve an empty column until you decide to deal from the stock. A new stock row fills every empty column with one card.
Bring in another row
A stock deal places one card onto each of the ten columns. Dealing can block an existing sequence as well as reveal new combinations. Undo restores the previous arrangement when the stock-deal snapshot is available. You cannot direct an individual stock card to a chosen destination.
Collect matching runs
The following details apply here. A complete run contains thirteen face-up cards in one suit from King to Ace. Eight collected runs are required to finish Relaxed Spider. Changing the number of suits does not change the number of required runs. The game removes a complete run automatically at the bottom of a column.
Practice the variant
Here are the details for this mode. Replay restores the same shuffle for another attempt. New game creates a fresh shuffle in the selected suit setting. Hints identify legal options without guaranteeing a win. Random relaxed deals are not presented as guaranteed solvable.
Separate variant progress
Keep these points in mind. Relaxed Spider keeps its saved games separate from standard Spider when saving is enabled. My Statistics displays relaxed starts and wins in separate rows. Each relaxed suit setting has its own current local game. Privacy & Cookie Settings lets you turn saving off or clear local records.
